Business cards say a lot about our lives. They say hello when we’re not there, they introduce us and tell the world where we spend at least 40 hours a week. Usually not much else is there though.
But what if they said more?? What if they were actually positive personal stories of change?
Cards of Change wondered the same thing so they put together a site for us all to share our changes in 2.5 x 3 inches or less.
There’s more talent out on the streets than ever before. Brilliant people looking to reshape their country, build their career and perhaps even grow your business.
Cardsofchange is a place where the glass is always half-full. A destination where all the bad news of the day takes a back seat to stories of individual success.
Our mission is to collect as many business cards and stories of positive change of people who have recently been laid off and connect them with new opportunities from potential employers, business partners and people who make the effort to look on the bright side of life.
I love these little extra connections these cards bring to light. And I love the fact that someone put together a site like this. Go, read and alter your world!! Then take your business card and add it to the mix. Share your dream!

The was originally posted a few months ago.. but I thought it might be nice for it to have a repeat performance!

Happy Pills is a CANDY SHOP in Barcelona. I’m hoping they franchise and take over the world!
Tucked literally between two buildings on Avinguda del Portal de l’Angel, the Happy Pills shop would be fairly easy to miss. That is, if it weren’t for the crowd of tourists and gawkers outside the space. I had to wait more than a few minutes to get a clear shot of the facade.

One inside, you’re met by a wall of various gummie candies. You pick what size “prescription” you want, then you fill the bottle up to your liking. After that, they seal the bottle with a tamper-proof cap and let you choose which label best suits your mood, in either Spanish or English…..via Mocoloco

Erin from ‘Design For Mankind” and Booooooom.com have gotten together for a project called ‘Free Encouragement’. Hundreds of people submitted words of free encouragement… some of which you see above. Now comes the fun part! read on for directions..
Part Two is where all of you, my dear artistic readers, come in. You know all of these messages of encouragement floating about [you should--- there are over 400!]? Pick one [yes, you!]. It doesn’t have to be your own message. Pick anyone’s message. And draw it. Paint it. Collage it. Art it. Do it. Whatever you do, however you do, just do. And you have thirty days to “do.” And then?
Then you send it to me at erin[AT]designformankind[DOT]com with the subject line “Free Encouragement.” Your entry [4x6 dimensions, please!] will be sifted through and loved and canoodled and may possibly be chosen to be part of a VERY special and inspiring postcard pack for you to send MORE encouragement into the world. See how it works? It’s one big food chain of niceness!
Be very excited. And get to work. Don’t worry if you choose the same message as others— there are plenty to go around, and duplicates are just fine! The more, the merrier. Comment below to declare your participation, tell your friends, and go forth— be inspired!
Remember: deadline is FEBRUARY 1ST. Don’t be late.![]()
